Labasa lawyer Amrit Sen’s case in the Magistrate Court has been adjourned to 2pm.

His lawyer Abhay Singh argued that Police had failed to serve him with the disclosures of the charges.

He told Magistrate Bimsara Jagodage when they appeared before him that he had been after the disclosures and charge statement but had not received it.

“I need this to discuss it with my client,” Mr Singh said.

Divisional Police Prosecutor North Mere Bacau told the court that it took 14 days to generate the interview done with Mr Sen because it was conducted on video.

They served Mr Singh the charge statement in court.

Mr Sen has been charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, one count of conspiracy, seven counts of acts intended to cause grievous harm, two counts of criminal intimidation, one count of assault causing actual bodily harm, and one count of damaging property.
