MINISTER for Lands and Mineral Resources Filimoni Vosarogo has urged his staff members in Rakiraki to continue focusing on their crucial role of service delivery to the people.

During a visit to the ministry’s Rakiraki office last week, he said he was confident staff would do justice to the calling of Government.

“You may not be seen because you are way out here in Rakiraki but our image in this part of Fiji depends on you — you represent the ministry, you represent me here, so represent me well,” Mr Vosarogo said.

“The people in these parts may not see the permanent secretary or myself on a daily basis. However, they see you and the manner in which you serve them is a reflection of the ministry, the minister and its leadership. You are all here based on merit which means the work that you do is important for our ministry.

“The smallest toe is as important as the head, without the smallest toe one can lose their balance and co-ordination.”

During his Western Division tour, Mr Vosarogo also visited the Vatukoula Gold Mines Ltd where he was briefed on the company’s operations and its 10-year plan.

He concluded his tour after visiting the Fiji Water factory in Yaqara, Ra.
