Update: 2:28PM THE price of yaqona in the Northern Division has increased by $30 to $40 a kilogram but the high price has not deterred customers from buying it.
Yaqona vendors at the Labasa Market say they have not seen a drop in business.
Ashneel Prasad, who has been a vendor for the past decade, said the price now stands at $75 to $80 for a kilogram of waka.
“Before Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston hit us, the price used to be $30 to $40 but it is now high and our business is actually doing good,” he said.
