Wrong for the Opposition to support the Standing Order: Nawaikula

SOCIAL Democratic Liberal Party MP Niko Nawaikula says provisions such as Standing Order 51 will make Parliament look like a “micky mouse house”.

He made this comments during a heated debate over a motion to adopt the Standing Orders in Parliament this morning.

Mr Nikowaikula said it would be wrong for the Opposition to support the Standing Order.

He said the Standing Order had breached the rights of Fijians to be heard.

Leader of Government to Parliament Inia Seruiratu said the Opposition needed to get their facts right before going to Parliament.
