TODAY is World Water Day (WWD), held on March 22 every year since 1993 and focuses on the importance of freshwater as one of the most precious resource on earth.

It hopes to raise awareness about the plight of 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water.

It is about taking decisive action to tackle the water crisis that the world faces.

Also, World Water Day focuses on supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6, having water and sanitation for all by the year 2030.
