WORKS on Grantham, Kanace, Nairai and Nokonoko roads in the Central Division are not complete.

Fiji Roads Authority acting chief executive officer Kamal Prasad clarified works are in progress on these roads.

Mr Prasad was responding to questions on the status of the roads.

Referring to Nokonoko Rd in Laucala Beach, Mr Prasad said the defects were within their expected threshold.

“We have two more phases of works left on Nokonoko Rd and the works will be completed in July 2021,” he said.

Meanwhile, the authority is requesting drivers to pay attention while driving along the construction sites.

“To keep our road users, pedestrians and our workers safe, a temporary 30km/h speed limit is in place through the worksite and nearby.

“Motorists are once again reminded to please slow down as indicated by the temporary traffic signs, follow the instructions of the site traffic personnel, and pay attention while driving along the construction sites.”
