NEW Zealand-based Fijian footballer Roy Krishna is among the favourites to win the 2018 Fiji Sportsman of the Year award.

He is part of nine nominees for the prestigious awards that will take place in Suva next Friday.

Nominees:

Tattslotto Sportsman of the year: Prabhat Pranil Prasad (Asia Pacific Taekwondo Fiji Federation), Kameli Sauduadua Ravuci (Athletics Fiji), Roy Krishna (Fiji FA), Chang Ho Kim (Badminton Fiji), Tevita Takayawa ( Fiji Judo), Iosefa Rakesa (Fiji Paralympics Committee), Alivereti Veitogavi (FRU), Epeli Rabua (Fiji Swimming), Apisai Baleloa (Fiji Taekwondo Association).
