Women’s IDC: Rewa secures semi-final spot

The Rewa football side has secured a spot in the semi-finals of the Vodafone Women’s Inter-District Championship underway in Suva.

The side defeated Nasinu 2-nil in its second pool match today.

Karala Vakayaru scored the first goal for Rewa while Nasinu scored an own goal late in the first spell.

Rewa led 2-nil at half time.

Rewa coach Laisani Mataele was impressed with the performance of her team and said they now looked forward to the next match against Suva tomorrow.
