WOMEN need to be prioritised first because of the care they give to their families.

This was mentioned by the International Women’s Association president, Judy Compain after handing over 150 packs of hygiene and dignity packs to the women of Kadavu.

The packs which were handed over to the Soqosoqo Vakamarama team contained items only for the women that were affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Keni.

“The packs contained items like towels, sulu’s, sanitary pads, deodorant, moisturiser, bathsoap, washing soap and other items that women need,” Ms Compain said.

Ms Compain said IWA were having another fundraiser this week to assist more women in future projects.
