There can be no life without water.
This vital resource is absolutely essential for our sustenance and survival.
Many of us take piped water for granted and many a time abuse it.
Little do we realise that despite all our grandiose developments there are still some places in Fiji without piped and clean water supply.
According to media reports, the village of Navatu in Bua has just received piped water for the first time.
This was after years of suffering and helpless pleadings to various governments.
The current Government has made their dream come true by providing piped water sourced from boreholes.
What a delight on the faces of these isolated villagers. This is certainly an early Christmas for them.
Please do spare a thought for the disadvantaged in our society.
