WINSTON Hill has his eyes on claiming the gold medal for Fiji at next year’s Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa.

Hill is currently training with renowned Australian boxing Hall of Fame trainer Johnny Lewis.

“Johnny is a great trainer and has a wealth of boxing knowledge and experience,” said Hill.

Hill has been training with Lewis at the Sydney Uni Boxing Club as well as the Bondi Boxing Club both located on the east coast for the past two weeks.

“There has been a lot of technical aspects and implementation through sparring in this training camp, but its been great,” he said.

Hill said his current tour to Australia would also help him establish relationships between Fiji and Johnny Lewis and his boxing team.

“I’m getting as much international level sparring as possible and networking with other coaches, clubs and potential sponsors for Fiji boxing. “I am learning a lot of new things and look forward to claim the gold medal for Fiji in the 2019 Pacific Games.”

Hill will return to the country next week.
