Westpac and Kina Bank have committed more than $150,000 to support people and communities affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasa through the Fiji Red Cross Society.

Fiji Red Cross Society director general Ilisapeci Rokotunidau said the combined financial assistance would enable them to respond quickly to immediate needs such as food and shelter, as well as the longer-term rebuilding and recovery of areas hit by Cyclone Yasa.

“We’re donating $A50,000 to the Red Cross to provide much needed shelter and food to anyone who has been affected by Cyclone Yasa,” said Greg Pawson, CEO of Kina Bank.
