SUGARCANE farmers in the Western Division are taking advantage of a series of public consultations to voice their concerns on the industry.
A team of officials from the Sugar Ministry, Lands Ministry and other agencies visited Ra and Tavua this week to meet and hear the views of farmers on the National Sugar Industry Policy.
Many of the issues highlighted pertain to labour issues, high land rental rates and cost of labourers.
The team is in Yaladro this afternoon where a number of farmers are expected to meet the delegation.
