TEAM Wellington is the new OFC champions after beating the Vodafone Lautoka Blues side 4-3 in their second final play-offs at Churchill Park this afternoon.

Inspired by their 6-0 win last weekend, the Kiwis showcased incredible passing and structured game to down the Blues 4-3.

Defender Mario Ilich scored two goals for the visitors in the first spell to lead 2-0 before Ross Allen increased his team’s lead with a goal early in the second spell.

Lautoka Blues made a brave comeback to score three goals consecutively. Two goals were scored by Benjamin Totori while Shazil Ali levelled the score with a well-timed kick beating goalkeeper Scott Basalaj.

The Kiwis put the final nail in the Blues coffin when he neatly placed the ball at the back of the net beating Bokini.
