A TROUGH of low pressure with cloud and showers just to the north of Fiji is expected to gradually drift south and affect the northern parts of the country till tomorrow.

The  weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning says there will be occasional showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and northern Lau group.

Showers easing from tomorrow.

Cloudy periods with some showers over the interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu.

The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group the weatherman says it will be fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms elsewhere.

For mariners expect moderate east to southeast winds with moderate seas.

The outlook for Sunday, ocloudy periods with some showers over the eastern parts and the interior of the larger islands.

Elsewhere, fine apart from isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
