A TROUGH of low pressure with the associated cloud and showers affects the eastern parts of the group till later today.
The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning says occasional showers and few thunderstorms over the Lau group, the interior and eastern parts of the larger islands.
As for the forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group expect afternoon or evening showers and isolated thunderstorms elsewhere.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
For mariners expect moderate to fresh easterly winds and moderate to rough seas.
The outlook for Friday expect some showers about the interior and eastern parts of the larger islands.
