Weather watch: Strong wind warning remains for Fiji waters

Update: 5:17PM A STRONG wind warning remains in force for all Fiji waters.
The weather bulletin issued at 3:30pm today from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi reports a high-pressure system to the far Southeast of Fiji directs a fresh to strong easterly winds over the group.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: some showers and few thunderstorms over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands.
Showers are expected to become frequent and heavy from later today.
Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms and isolated heavy falls expected.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
For mariners, easterly winds 20 to 25 knots, winds gusting to 30 knots, rough seas and moderate southerly swells.
