A strong wind warning remains in force for land areas of the Southern and Eastern parts of Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
According to the Fiji Met Office, this is due to a high pressure system to the far south of the group continues to direct a fresh to strong southeast wind flow over Fiji waters.
