Weather watch: Strong wind warning cancelled

The strong wind warning previously in force for land areas of the Southern and Eastern parts of Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group is now cancelled.
The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning says a high pressure system to the far south of the group continues to direct a fresh to strong southeast wind flow over Fiji waters.
The forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group expect cloudy periods with some showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands.
Fine elsewhere and cool at night.
For mariners expect moderate to fresh southeast winds and moderate to rough seas.
The outlook for Thursday , cloudy periods with brief showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands.
