Weather watch: Rain forecast over next two days

Expect rain over the next two days as a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers remain slow moving over the country.

According to the weather bulletin issued from the national weather forecasting centre in Nadi this morning, an easterly wind flow prevails over the group and brings with it cloudy periods with some showers and isolated thunderstorms over Navua, Suva and Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri and interior Serua-Namosi-Naitasiri-Ra areas, Cakaudrove and Macuata province, Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti group.

Elsewhere, partly cloudy conditions with isolated brief showers and possible thunderstorms.

Showers expected to ease by later Tuesday.

The outlook for Wednesday, expect cloudy periods with brief showers over Suva, Nausori and Tailevu, Naitasiri and interior Serua-Namosi-Naitasiri-Ra areas, Cakaudrove and Eastern Macuata, Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti group.

Elsewhere, fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers with moderate to fresh easterly winds.
