RAIN continues to affect the country until later today, especially the eastern parts of the group.

The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning says a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers continues to affect the eastern parts of Fiji and is gradually moving eastwards away from the group.

It is expected to affect the group until later today.

The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, expect occasional showers with isolated thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, and Lau and Lomaiviti groups.

Showers expected to gradually ease and clear later today, otherwise expect cloudy periods with brief showers over the eastern and interior of the other larger islands.

Fine apart from possible afternoon or evening showers elsewhere.

For mariners, expect moderate Southeast winds, fresh at times with moderate to rough seas.

The outlook for Wednesday, fine apart from brief showers over the eastern and interior parts of the larger islands.

Elsewhere, mainly fine.
