Weather watch: Low pressure slow moving over eastern Fiji

A WEAK trough of low pressure lies slow moving over the eastern parts of the group.

The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi today said low pressure was expected to affect the group until tonight.

The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, expect cloudy periods with some showers over the Lau and Lomaiviti group, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands.

Otherwise, it will be fine apart from possible isolated afternoon showers.

There will also be moderate to fresh easterly winds accompanied by moderate to rough seas.

As for the outlook for Wednesday, the weatherman says there will be cloudy periods with some showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands.
