Weather watch: Hurricane warning remains in force for Kadavu and Ono-i-Lau

A hurricane warning remains in force for Kadavu and Ono-i-Lau.
The weather forecasting office in Nadi has extended the warning for southern parts of Viti Levu – from Momi to Pacific Harbour, Beqa, Vatulele, Matuku and Vatoa.
A storm warning also remains in force for Moala, Matuku, Totoya, and Vanuavatu, and it is now in force for Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Lomaiviti Group, and the rest of the southern Lau group.
The weatherman has also reported that a gale warning remains in force for Lakeba and Cicia, and is now in force for the rest of Lau group, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.
A strong wind warning remains in force for the rest of Fiji.
A damaging heavy swell remains in force as well for Yasawa and Mamanuca group, western and southern coast of Viti Levu, Vatulele, Beqa, Kadavu, Moala group and southern Lau group.
A heavy rain warning also remains in force for the Fiji group.
The weather centre has also issued a flash flood warning for low-lying areas and small streams with Rakiraki catchment.
A flash flood alert is in force for low-lying areas and adjacent to small streams of Ba, Tavua, and Kubuna catchment (Tau, Kubuna, Lomawai, Kabisi, Ciriwai and Maro).
