Weather watch: Heavy rain warning remains

Update: 7:00PM A HEAVY rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Northern Lau Group, Lomaiviti Group, Viti Levu, Yasawa, and Mamanuca Group.
The weather bulletin issued by the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this afternoon said a heavy rain alert remained in force for the rest of Fiji.
There will be periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Northern Lau Group, Lomaiviti Group, and Eastern half of Viti Levu and Yasawa and the Mamanuca Group.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low-lying areas.
For the rest of Viti Levu, there will be occasional showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
Showers increasing to rain and becoming frequent and heavy from tonight and isolated heavy falls expected.
For the rest of Fiji, expect occasional showers and few thunderstorms with showers increasing to rain and isolated heavy falls from later tomorrow.
