A HEAVY rain warning is now cancelled for the Lau group.
The special weather bulletin for heavy rain issued from the Regional Specialised Meteorological Centre (RSMC) in Nadi this morning says a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain has weakened over the Fiji group.
The forecast for the group, expect occasional showers and few thunderstorms over the interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
Isolated heavy falls likely especially in the afternoon or evening.
Elsewhere, fine weather apart from afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms.
