Weather watch: Heavy rain warning cancelled; flood warning remains

A heavy rain warning previously in force for the eastern half of Viti Levu (from Pacific harbour through to Suva to Nausori up to Tailevu), Kadavu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lomaiviti and Lau group is now cancelled.

According to the weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this afternoon a heavy rain alert previously in force for the rest of Fiji is also cancelled.

Meanwhile, the flood warning remains in force for low lying areas of Viti Levu from Pacific Harbour through Navua to Suva and Nausori to Davuilevu.

A flash flood alert remains in force for low lying areas and small streams close to major rivers in Vanua Levu from Nabouwalu to Vunivau in Bua, Qelelumu in Labasa and Natabe Creek of Wainikoro River.
