An active trough of low pressure with cloud and showers lies slow moving over the northern parts of the group.

According to the weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning the forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group expect occasional showers, heavy at times and possible thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the northern Lau group and the eastern parts and interior of the Viti Levu.

Cloudy periods with some showers and possible thunderstorms elsewhere.

Isolated heavy falls likely and localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.

Moderate to fresh east to southeast winds, gusty at times and  rough seas.

The outlook for Wednesday, cloudy periods with some showers and possible thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the northern Lau group and the eastern parts and interior of the Viti Levu.

Cloudy periods with isolated afternoon or evening showers and possible thunderstorms elsewhere.
