ABOUT 80 evacuees from 14 families are sheltering at Jokhan Primary School in Navua, says the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO).

In a press statement issued at 11am, NDMO says the number of evacuees is expected to increase.

NDMO says it is working closely with the Fiji Police Force and Divisional Commissioners to monitor the movements of people on the road and over small crossings.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Roads Authority will be inspecting the Toga Crossing and parts of crossings that were washed away, and that will be repaired once the weather permits.
