THE weather may have played a part in the lower than normal turnout at the Suva Bowling Club today for the annual Raj Charan National Open Singles.

Suva Bowling Club secretary Diwan Chand said there were 24 men and 12 women in the national singles tournament.

“The winner from this year’s tournament will represent Fiji next in the world Champion vs Champion next year,” said Chand.

There was only one participant from Vanua Levu while the rest were from the West and Suva.

Defending champions of the tournament are Surend Prasad and Litia Tikoisuva.

*Tournament results later today as it comes to hand. Detailed reports in tomorrow’s The Sunday Times and on our e-edition.
