ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUP.

A HEAVY RAIN ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE REST OF FIJI.

EX-TROPICAL CYCLONE JOSIE CENTRE 996HPA WAS LOCATED NEAR 21.7 SOUTH 178.7 EAST

OR ABOUT 310 KILOMETRES SOUTH OF KADAVU AND 290 KILOMETRES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF

ONO-I-LAU AT 6:00 am. CLOSE TO ITS CENTRE THE CYCLONE IS EXPECTED TO HAVE

AVERAGE WINDS UP TO 55 KM/HR WITH MOMENTARY GUSTS TO 85 KM/HR. EX-TROPICAL

CYCLONE JOSIE MOVING SOUTH SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 8 KM/HR.

ON THIS TRACK, EX-TROPICAL CYCLONE JOSIE CENTRE IS EXPECTED TO BE LOCATED ABOUT

470 KILOMETRES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF KADAVU AT 6:00 pm, AND ABOUT 390 KILOMETRES

SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF ONO-I-LAU AT 6:00 am TOMORROW.

DAMAGING GALE FORCE WINDS WITH AVERAGE SPEED OF 65 KM/HR AND MOMENTARY GUSTS TO

90 KM/HR.

WINDS EASING TO AN AVERAGE SPEED OF 50KM/HR WITH GUSTS TO 70KM/HR BY MIDDAY
