VITI LEVU, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP, VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY
SMALLER ISLANDS AND NORTHERN LAU GROUP.

A FLOOD WARNING/ ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR PARTS OF FIJI.

Situation: An active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and
rain remains slow moving over Fiji. Meanwhile, Tropical Depression
[999hpa] remains slow moving to the far northwest of Fiji.

It is
expected to intensify further into a Tropical Cyclone as it moves
towards Fiji later on Sunday.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
For Land areas of Western Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Vanua
Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and Northern Lau group.
Strong northwesterly winds with average speed of 50km/hr with
momentary gusts to 75km/hr. Rough to very rough seas.

Elsewhere, moderate to fresh northwesterly winds. Moderate to rough
seas.
Periods of heavy rain and squally thunderstorms over most places.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flooding.

Outlook for Sunday : Periods of heavy rain and squally
thunderstorms over most places.
Strong northwesterly winds with average speed of 55 km/hr with
momentary gusts to 80 km/hr over most places.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Periods of heavy rain and squally thunderstorms.
Outlook for Sunday : Expect strong northwesterly winds with
average speed of 55km/hr with momentary gusts to 80km/hr developing
later in the day. Periods of heavy rain and squally thunderstorms.

For Sigatoka / Coral Coast:
Strong northwesterly winds with average speed of 50km/hr with
momentary gusts to 75km/hr.
Periods of heavy rain and squally thunderstorms.
Outlook for Sunday: Expect strong northwesterly winds with average
speed of 55km/hr with momentary gusts to 80km/hr developing later in
the day. Periods of heavy rain and squally thunderstorms.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba :
Strong northwesterly winds with average speed of 50km/hr with
momentary gusts to 75km/hr.
Periods of rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.

speed of 55km/hr with momentary gusts to 80km/hr. Periods of heavy
rain and squally thunderstorms.

For Rakiraki / Tavua:
Strong northwesterly winds with average speed of 50km/hr with

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE LAND AREAS AND WATERS OF
ROTUMA.

Situation: An active trough of low pressure remains slow moving over
Rotuma. Associated cloud and rain affects the island.

Over land: Strong northwesterly winds with average speed of 50km/hr
with momentary gusts to 75km/hr.
Over waters: Strong northwesterly winds 20 to 30 knots, gusting to 35
knots.

Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
Rough to very rough seas.

Outlook for Sunday : Rain and thunderstorms continuing.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL FIJI WATERS.

Situation:
An active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain
remains slow moving over Fiji. Meanwhile, Tropical Depression 13F
remains slow moving to the far northwest of Fiji. It is expected to
intensify further into a Tropical Cyclone as it moves towards Fiji
later on Sunday.

Forecast to 6am tomorrow for Fiji waters:

Northwest winds 20 to 30 knots, gusting to 40 knots.
Rough to very rough seas
Moderate southeast swells.

Further outlook: Northwest winds 25 to 30 knots, gusting to 45
knots. Rough to very rough seas. Moderate southeast swells.
