A HEAVY RAIN ALERT IS IN FORCE FOR EASTERN HALF OF VITI LEVU, YASAWA
AND MAMANUCA GROUP, VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS.

Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain
remains slow moving over Fiji. It is expected to affect the group
till Friday.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
For eastern half of Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Vanua Levu,
Taveuni and nearby smaller islands:
Periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms.

For the Rest of Fiji:
Occasional rain and few thunderstorms. Isolated heavy falls likely.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding.
Moderate to fresh southeast winds.
Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Thursday : Rain and thunderstorms continuing over most
places.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms.
Outlook for Thursday : Rain and thunderstorms continuing.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba :
Occasional rain and few thunderstorms.
Outlook for Thursday : Rain and thunderstorms continuing.

For Labasa :
Occasional rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms. Becoming
frequent from later tonight.
Outlook for Thursday : Rain and thunderstorms continuing.

For Savusavu : Occasional rain, heavy at times and squally
thunderstorms. Becoming frequent from later tonight.
Outlook for Thursday : Rain and thunderstorms continuing.

For Rotuma :
A trough of low pressure with cloud and showers remains slow moving
over Rotuma.

Occasional showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
Moderate to fresh easterly winds, gusty at times.
Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Thursday : Occasional showers.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR KADAVU AND VATU-I-RA
PASSAGES.

Situation:
A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow
moving over the group. Meanwhile, a southeasterly wind flow prevails
over Fiji waters.

Forecast to 6am tomorrow for Fiji waters:
For Kadavu an Vatu-I-Ra Passages:

Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots.
Rough seas.
Moderate southerly swells.
Poor visibility in areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Further outlook: Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots. Rough seas.
Moderate southerly swells.

For the rest of Fiji Waters:
Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots.
Moderate to rough seas.
Moderate southerly swells.
