Situation: A trough of low pressure remains slow moving over Fiji.

Associated cloud and rain affects the northern and eastern parts of

the group.

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:

Occasional rain and few thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and

nearby smaller islands, Yasawa group, Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti

group, the eastern parts and the interior of the other larger

islands. Elsewhere, showers especially in the afternoon or evening.

Isolated thunderstorms with heavy falls expected.

Moderate easterly winds, gusty at times.

Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Wednesday  : Occasional showers and few thunderstorms

over Vanua Levu, Yasawa, Lau and Lomaiviti group, the eastern parts

and the interior of the other larger islands. Elsewhere, afternoon or

evening showers and isolated thunderstorms with heavy falls expected.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :

Occasional rain and few thunderstorms.  Isolated heavy falls

expected.

Outlook for Wednesday  : Occasional showers and few thundesrtorms.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba :

Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms with

heavy falls expected. 

Outlook for Wednesday  : Afternoon or evening showers and

thunderstorms.

For Labasa :

Occasional rain and few thunderstorms.  Isolated heavy falls

expected.

Outlook for Wednesday  : Occasional showers and few thunderstorms.

For Savusavu : Occasional rain and few thunderstorms. Isolated heavy

falls expected.

Outlook for Wednesday  : Occasional showers and few thundesrtorms.

For Rotuma : Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated

cloud and showers remains slow moving just north of Rotuma.

Occasional showers and few thunderstorms. Showers and thunderstorms

becoming frequent and heavy tomorrow.

Moderate easterly winds.

Moderate seas.

Outlook for Wednesday  : Occasional rain, heavy at times and few

thundesrtorms.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR VATU-I-RA, KADAVU PASSAGES

AND SOUTHWEST VITI LEVU WATERS AND IS NOW IN FORCE FOR LAU AND KORO

SEA. 

Situation:

A trough of low pressure remains slow moving over Fiji. Associated

cloud and rain affects the northern and eastern parts of the group.

Forecast to midday tomorrow for Fiji waters:

For Vatu-i-ra Passage, Kadavu passage, Lau, Koro Sea and Southwest

Viti Levu waters:

Easterly winds 20 to 25 knots. Gusty at times.

Rough seas.

Moderate southeasterly swells.

Poor visibility in areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Further outlook:  Easterly winds 20 to 25 knots. Rough seas. Moderate

southeasterly swells.

For the rest of Fiji Waters:

Easterly winds 15 to 20 knots. Gusty at times

Moderate to rough seas.

Moderate southeasterly winds.

Poor visibility in areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Further outlook:   Easterly winds 15 to 20 knots. Moderate to rough

seas. Moderate southerly swells.
