FIJI 7s wizard and Russia national 7s coach Waisale Serevi reassured the people of Fiji to keep supporting the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team saying it is not the end of the world and the series is not yet over.

“We have lost the last leg in Las Vegas and Vancouver but it is not the end of the world,” Serevi said.

Fiji returned home without a cup win but managed a bronze medal finish in Vancouver on the USA/Canada leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series and currently third on the overall points table with 101 points behind USA who leads with 113 points, and second placed New Zealand with 106.

“We are a couple of points behind USA and NZ and it is still wide open with four tournaments to go and we still can win the series.”

Serevi believes coach Gareth Baber has a good squad of players and there are able players to fill the gaps in a team marred by injuries.

“All the coaches have their own game plan, and if there is one team that can make a comeback, definitely it is Fiji.”
