Water situation: Unplanned water disruption for Suva

Listen to this article:

RESIDENTS living in the elevated parts of Suva are being advised that they will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply until further notice.

A statement from the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) revealed that affected areas include elevated areas within Wairua, Wailoku, Delainavesi, Qauia Street to Veisari, elevated areas within Samabula, Princes Road, Tamavua to Colo-I-Suva, upper Namadi Heights, Waimanu Road, Rewa Street, Nailuva Road, Knolly Street, Duncan and Ratu Sukuna Road.

The interruption in supply is due to the reduction in raw water supply from Headworks 3, a major raw water source to the Tamavua Water Treatment Plant..

The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.

Water carting trucks are on standby to service the affected areas.
