Water situation: Supply disruption alert for greater Navua areas

RESIDENTS in and around the greater Navua area are advised of water supply interruption from this morning.

Supply will be disrupted from 10am.

This temporary period will allow the Water Authority of Fiji crew to carry out replacement works on the 300mm bypass valve between the inlet and outlet of Nayagi Reservoir in Navua.

Areas expected to be affected include:

– Queens highway between Navua Bridge and Nasasa junction;

– Navua Town

– Naitonitoni

– Naitata

– Vuninokonoko

– Sadro Rd

– Wainidovo Rd

– Vunibau

– Deuba Village

– Vakabalea Rd

– Busa Farm Rd

– Nasasa and

– Viwawa

Residents are advised to store water for their needs and to use it sparingly during the brief disruption period.

Water carting services are on standby should the need arise.

Supply is expected to normalise by 5pm.
