Water situation: Navua advised to store water

RESIDENTS living in elevated parts of Navua are advised that they will be experiencing minimal interruption to their water supply from 8am today as Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) workers carry out maintenance works at the Nayagi Reservoir.

The areas expected to be affected include:

– Queens Highway from the Navua Bridge to the Nasasa junction

– Navua Town

– Naitonitoni

– Naitata

– Vuninokonoko

– Sadro Road

– Wainidova Road

– Vunibau

– Deuba Village

– Vakabalea Road

– Busa Farm Road

– Nasasa

– Viwawa

Customers in those areas are advised to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.

The authority has also advised residents that water carting trucks would be on standby to service the areas as and when the need arose.

Water supply is expected to be normalised by 5pm.
