Water situation: Burst main disrupts Lautoka water supply

LAUTOKA residents are currently experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply which according to the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) is due to a suspected burst main in the area.

WAF says their ground teams are working to identify the leakage and conduct necessary repairs to restore supply.

“Water carting trucks are on standby to service the affected areas during this disruption period.

“The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.”

Affected areas include:

  •  Buabua Reservoir:  Tomuka, Naikabula, Buabua Road, Vatamai Village, Drasa Dam Road, Johnson Road, Tropik Road.
  •  Qalitu Reservoir:  Teidamu, Matalwalu Village, Naviyago Village, Vitogo Village, Vitogo Paipai Road, Kings Highway from Vunato to Teidamu, Lovu Hart, Lovu Seaside, B.S Charan Road, Ajan Road, Vatulau Road, Choy Gopal Road, Vunato Settlement.
