Water disruption for Deuba, Serua areas until further notice

Listen to this article:

THE Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) has advised its customers living in and around the greater Deuba and Serua areas that water supply is being disrupted today until further notice.

The authority says this is because of blockages and high turbidity at the raw water intake to the Deuba Water Treatment Plant, following the heavy rain being experienced.

The areas expected to be affected include Nakaulevu, Waikalou, Rovadrau, Waidradra, Makosoi, and Pacific Harbour areas, Lepanoni, Wainiyabia, Qarasarau,Vanuadogo, Vunimaqo, and Lomary, and Galoa.

Customers in those areas are advised to harvest rainwater as an alternative, and to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary period.

Customers have also been advised to boil all drinking water.
