Wairiki 7s: 40 teams ready to go

Forty teams will battle it out next week for a chance at securing the 13th 2020 Fiji Bitter Wairiki Sevens title.

“All teams are ready and eager to go,” said tournament official Iowane Gade during the launch today at Walu Bay.

A total cash prize of $27,230 will be up for grabs across three sporting events at Wairki ground in Taveuni, which includes Sevens, Netball and Volleyball.

Top teams including Marist 7s champions Tabadamu, Jerry Tuwai’s FDS Barbarians and Police will compete at the event.

First Light Taveuni are the current defending champions of the Wairiki 7s.

The tournament begins next week from December 3 – 5, 2020  at Wairki ground in Taveuni.
