WAF offers 30-day extension for overdue water bills

Listen to this article:

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) is offering a 30-day extension to overdue water bill due dates.

WAF chief executive Barry Omundson said the decision was made in light of customers who would be unable to pay their water bills because of the current COVID-19 containment restrictions.

“We understand that this is a very challenging time for many Fijians, especially with necessary measures that have had to be taken to keep Fiji safe from COVID-19,” Mr Omundson said.

“This initiative is mainly meant to help those who are currently unable to work having been restricted to certain containment zones, and may be having financial difficulties, as a result.”

He said the 30 extra days would allow affected customers sufficient time to clear all their current dues.

Customers looking to take advantage of the 30-day extension will need to contact WAF on 3346777 or 577 (all mobile networks) or email contact@waf.com.fj for assistance.
