WAF begins office search

THE Water Authority of Fiji will begin looking for an alternative office space in Suva as concerns continue to swirl around the safety of their Manohan building headquarters.
Forced to withdraw from their offices by tremors and building cracks, WAF staff members have been operating out of their Wailoku location and on the second floor garage since last week.
“We expect to begin finalising our new office locations throughout next week and will keep the public informed of these moves as they happen,” WAF chief executive officer Opetaia Ravai said.
WAF officials met Employment Minister Semi Koroilavesau yesterday, who backed their decision to stay out of Manohan building until it had been declared “absolutely safe” by the Department of Mineral Resources.
