VUNIMONO High School created history after winning the Fiji Secondary Schools Girls final at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park this afternoon.

The Naisori-based side defeated Xavier College 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out after both teams drew 1-all after the extra time.

Head coach Elvis Mukesh Goundar commended his troops for their effort after surviving a fierce battle against the Ba-based Xavier team.

He said the school only joined the competition last year and winning the title was a huge achievement for the school.
