Fiji’s Minister for Infrastructure, Metereological Services, Lands and Mineral Resources Jone Usamate handed over a Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) system at Naceva District School in Kadavu yesterday.

The system was funded by the Prime Minister’s Office under the small grant scheme.

He said the new system would boost the internet network in the remote maritime school, and also establish a form of contact for teachers and students to the outside world.

Mr Usamate said the education system would be upgraded through the advanced internet connection.

He was accompanied by Kadavu Provincial administrator Ropate Rakadi and senior Government officials.
