THE VODAFONE Premier League will kickstart its season this Sunday with the first two matches to be played at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

Fiji Football Association conducted its VPL meeting yesterday at the Fiji Football Academy in Vatuwaqa, Suva, where fixtures and logistics were discussed. League board executive Amitesh Pal said other matches would be confirmed this week.

“We had our board meeting and have decided for the first round of games to be held this Sunday,” said Pal.

In the first match, defending champions Lautoka will play Tavua while Ba will battle Nasinu in the second match.

The official opening of the Vodafone Premier League will be held on January 26 at Subrail Park, Labasa, where Ba will play the hosts.
