Visa-free travel to Argentina for Fijians

Update: 5:02PM FIJIANS now have the opportunity to travel to Argentina without a visa through the ‘Agreement on Waiver of Transitory Visas for Holders of Ordinary Passport’ between Fiji and Argentinian governments.

The agreement, which was signed on September 22 last year between both countries, have completed all domestic processes and procedures that come into effect tomorrow.

Fiji’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs permanent secretary Ioane Naivalurua said the visa-free entry of Fijians into Argentina and vice versa would encourage increased opportunities for trade, investment, and sports particularly rugby, and tourism.

“The visa-free entry into Argentina will encourage Fijian businesses to explore possibilities for expanding business and trade to South America. This will also encourage visits by sporting teams and tourism activities between both countries thus, solidifying cultural and people-to-people relationship,” Mr Naivalurua said.

Fijians wishing to travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina, could easily connect from Auckland, New Zealand.
