THE Ministry of Forestry works with the iTaukei Land Trust Board and provincial offices for issuance of commercial logging license to landowners.

Minister for Forestry Osea Naiqamu clarified this to villagers of Korobebe in the upper Nadi regions yesterday.

Clan leader Ratu Eroni Neikere had queried on the procedures followed when applying for such licenses as they had to do a lot of running around to be able to obtain a proper commercial logging licence.

“In any Native land, we at the ministry work with iTLTB and the provincial office and only then will a license be issued,” Mr Naiqamu said.
