Vakasama breaks swim record at Fiji Games competition

THREE records were broken at the Fiji Swimming Fiji Games competition this weekend held at the Damodar City Aquatic Centre.

The first record was broken by Taichi Vakasama in the 400m individual medley with a time of 4.38.91.

Vakasama broke his own record (4.47.13) he set in the 11th Oceania Championships.

Vakasama also broke Meli Malani’s 50m breastroke record (29.25) with a time of 29.10s.

The third record was broken by Netani Ross who swam a time of 1.00.01 minutes in the 100m backstroke beating his old time of 1.00.73 set in the 2018 Junior PAN Pacific Games.
