THE University of the South Pacific (USP), Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE), launched its Learning Support Services Skill Me Up App and Learning Support and Work Skills Centre yesterday.

USP Vice-Chancellor Professor Pal Ahluwalia said the new Learning Support and Work Skills Centre would act as dedicated learning support space.

“The space is tailored to encourage students to reach out for guidance and allow them to make use of dedicated facilities to help them towards their needs,” Professor Ahluwalia said.

He said the new app would provide resources for students and be more accessible for its portability as long as the student had a USP username and password.

The application will provide numeracy, writing, work ready skills, referencing, and many more services to Pacific TAFE students.

The centre is intended to provide students with additional ICT support and services as well.
