FIVE students from the University of the South Pacific will be part of the COP25 in Santiago, Chile in December.

They are currently part of a Pre-Cop training at the university’s Statham campus, funded by the Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change and Resilience Building (PACRES).

European Union Ambassador for the Pacific, Surijo Seam said Fiji’s participation in the COP23 has encouraged other world leaders to step up their efforts in the fight against climate change.

The three days training is facilitated by USP’s Pacific Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development.
